Montana 3721RL Modifications

Replaced existing air vent covers with

Gene and I are very disappointed in the new Montana 3721RL's ability to stay cool during the heat of the day. The air conditioning in this rig is poor at best. Temperatures have been very hot 90+ degrees, with some days 100+ degrees.  The "old" Montana struggled on days like these but the air conditioning unit was able to get the rig down to bearable inside temps. This new air conditioning setup in the new Montana is not very impressive. So.......

Today Gene did a much needed modification to the new Montana. The air conditioning in this rig just cannot keep up with 90+ temps and the air vent covers on the ceiling of the 3721RL did not do anything to help cool the rig. The covers did not have adjustable louvers and just blew air across the hot ceiling.

Thanks to someone (sorry I forgot where I saw it) on the Montana Owner's Club forum, Gene replaced the existing air vent covers with these:

D & W (8840WH) Spaceport Air Conditioner Ceiling Vent

I got mine on Amazon and with my Prime membership it was free shipping. (I love Amazon!)

It seems to help a little with the air flow in the 5th wheel. We are still struggling with somewhat uncomfortable temps in the heat of the day but it is a little better now.
