Two days in Victor, Idaho at the Teton Valley RV Park and one spectacular day at the Grand Teton National Park.

Just beautiful! Grand Teton National Park.

Steep grade on the way to our RV Park in Victor, ID....thank goodness for engine brake!
Beautiful scenery on from Rock Springs, WY to Victor, ID

Prices getting pretty steep for national parks. We have a national park pass, that helps!

Cheyenne, Wyoming

Saturday, June 18, 2016, was a short drive and easy tow into Cheyenne, Wyoming. We arrived at the Cheyenne KOA in Cheyenne at about 11:30 am so that left us plenty of time to set up and spend a good part of the day in Cheyenne.

The Cheyenne KOA was easy access with plenty of sites available. Most sites had a small tree that gave us a bit of shade for a table and some chairs. Sites were pull through which we love, love, love. They had a nice pool too, but still a little early in the year so temp was a cool 80 degrees (yikes!).

We spent the day in downtown Cheyenne. Touring the Old West Museums and we had a very good burger at 2 Doors Down before heading back to camp. We were surprised to find "downtown Cheyenne" to be nearly deserted while we were there. According to some of the locals, "Saturdays are kind of weird around here, but we are hopping Monday - Friday."

I would hate to run into this guy in a dark alley!

Did you know...... back in the day, out of the Sears and Roebuck catalog, you could buy an 800 lb marble headstone monument for $26.70 or a genuine Stradivarius Violin for the low, low introductory price of $7.85?

I'm pretty sure this Stradivarius would be worth more than $7.85 today!

Cherry Creek State Park, Aurora, CO

It's a beautiful morning in Aurora, CO. Other than Colorado Springs and Denver traffic, it was a very uneventful travel day yesterday to Cherry Creek State Park from our home in Corrales, NM. On the way, we stopped at this cute truck stop, called Russel's, just outside of Springer, NM for some lunch. We have been through Springer many times but we have never stopped there.  It was so cute I think I should share a couple of photos.

Cherry Creek State Park is a pretty little park its very clean and the sites are big enough that we were able to park and we didn't have to unhook. We are leaving this morning for Cheyenne, Wyoming so we didn't have much time to explore the area this time. We did make our way down to see the reservoir which was just a short walk from our site. I bet it's going to be a crowded beach today, it is supposed to be a hot one here today, 90+ degrees.

Ready to Roll

Tomorrow is the day. We will leave for the first leg of our 3 week vacay. Woo hoo! We will be traveling with our 2011 Montana 5th wheel. There is a great story about prep for this trip, but more on that later. The 5er is packed, we have a couple of last minute minor details to take care of and then we hit the road. First stop will be Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora, Colorado.
