Cheyenne, Wyoming

Saturday, June 18, 2016, was a short drive and easy tow into Cheyenne, Wyoming. We arrived at the Cheyenne KOA in Cheyenne at about 11:30 am so that left us plenty of time to set up and spend a good part of the day in Cheyenne.

The Cheyenne KOA was easy access with plenty of sites available. Most sites had a small tree that gave us a bit of shade for a table and some chairs. Sites were pull through which we love, love, love. They had a nice pool too, but still a little early in the year so temp was a cool 80 degrees (yikes!).

We spent the day in downtown Cheyenne. Touring the Old West Museums and we had a very good burger at 2 Doors Down before heading back to camp. We were surprised to find "downtown Cheyenne" to be nearly deserted while we were there. According to some of the locals, "Saturdays are kind of weird around here, but we are hopping Monday - Friday."

I would hate to run into this guy in a dark alley!

Did you know...... back in the day, out of the Sears and Roebuck catalog, you could buy an 800 lb marble headstone monument for $26.70 or a genuine Stradivarius Violin for the low, low introductory price of $7.85?

I'm pretty sure this Stradivarius would be worth more than $7.85 today!
